ALL visitors wishing to enter
United Republic of Tanzania must OBTAIN AN APPROPRIATE VISA that will
enable him\her to enter the country, EXCEPT nationals of the listed
countries bellow, (who though may need entry permit clearance, they DO
NOT NEED VISA) provided they are traveling on national passport of any
of the following countries: -
Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus,
Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malaysia,
Malawi, Malta, Maldives, Mauritius, Namibia, Nauru, Sao Tome & Principe
Island, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Saint Christopher and Nevis,
Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Island, Swaziland, Tuvalu, Tonga, Uganda,
Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
Nationals of the East African Community NEED NEITHER VISA NOR ENTRY
PERMIT to enter United Republic of Tanzania.
If you are NOT a citizen of any of the above countries and you wish to
enter Tanzania, YOU MUST OBTAIN VISA IN ADVANCE TO ENTER United Republic
of Tanzania, PARTICULARLY if you are proceeding to Tanzania from a
country where there IS a Tanzanian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate
to issue visas.
EXCEPTION:
The following nationalities cannot get a visa on arrival.
Afghanistan, All West African countries, Bangladesh, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia,
Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sri Lanka,
Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) & Yemen.
Certain Visitors, however, who proceed to United Republic of Tanzania
from a country where there is NO Tanzania Embassy, High Commission or
Consulate to issue visa, nor can they easily obtain such a visa from a
nearest Tanzania Visa Office in their region, CAN proceed to Tanzania
and obtain visa at one of the FOUR point of entries in Tanzania. These
are:
Dar-es-Salaam International Airport, i.e. DIA,
Kilimanjaro International Airport, i.e. KIA,
Zanzibar International Airport, i.e. ZIA, & Namanga boarder crossing
point, between Tanzania and Kenya.
